
Alan Premasiri
Director of Clinical Research Operations | ALS TDI
Alan Premasiri is the Director of Clinical Research Operations at the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI). He earned a B.S. in Neurobiology at Boston University and an M.S. in Biotechnology at Johns Hopkins, and he joined ALS TDI in 2013 to pursue ALS research.

Premasiri now leads the Clinical Operations team that runs the ALS Research Collaborative (ARC), a nationwide natural history study involving hundreds of ALS patients.

In this role, Alan oversees patient enrollment, data collection, and coordination of clinical sites for ALS TDI’s research studies. He’s known for building systems that make it easier for people with ALS to participate in research, no matter where they live. His work is driven by the relationships he’s formed in the ALS community over more than a decade.
