About
Following an eight-year career with the Atlanta Falcons and subsequent success as a broadcaster and lawyer, Tim shifted his focus to battling the disease after receiving his diagnosis in 2026. He now uses his background in media and law to drive significant resources toward finding a cure.
Since publicly announcing his condition in 2018, Tim has dedicated his energy to Tackle ALS, a campaign he founded to fund research at the Sean M. Healey & AMG Center for ALS at Massachusetts General Hospital. His initiative has
secured millions of dollars in critical funding to support the work of Dr. Merit Cudkowicz and her team. In addition to fundraising, he draws on his career as a best-selling author to keep the need for effective treatments in the national spotlight.
A resident of Upstate New York, Tim lives in Skaneateles with his wife, Illyssa, and their five children.
